IT'S BACK TO SCHOOL TIME!
The phrase "Back to School" has different connotations for different folks - some positive, some negative. So, we'd like to invite you this September to remember some of the positive ones -- the feeling of reuniting with your friends, telling stories about your summer adventures, being engaged in learning new things, cooler nights and crisp red apples... And if you start feeling sad about the coming rain, remember you can always escape at the Dragontree. We're here to uplift you and send you back out in the world with a peaceful smile on your face.
September Special
Recharge with a green tea and lavender foot bath, followed by an exfoliating green tea and vanilla salt scrub for your feet. Meanwhile, your hands will be enveloped in soothing warm paraffin. As your body relinquishes its tension, sip on a fresh blackberry and peach smoothie. Let the bliss continue with a rejuvenating sixty minute deep tissue massage. Finally, bring the glow back to that pretty face of yours with an hour-long antioxidant facial. $210

A request for testimonials about your experiences at The Dragontree
We are redoing our website (to include gift certificate purchasing, appointment making, and an online store!) and would love to have a handful of testimonials up for prospective clients to read. If you have something that you would like to share with the world please email it to briana@thedragontree.com.

The Oregon Acupuncture Association recently alerted us to an upcoming issue in health insurance for Oregonians. The Oregon Health Fund Board (HFB) will be holding public meetings across the state from September 8 - 18 to assess the health care needs and desires of the people of Oregon. The Board will make reforms to the delivery of health care in Oregon based on the findings of these meetings. One feature of the HFB proposal is a Basic Benefits Package - a list of covered services which will be the minimum requirement for every insurance plan - private as well as public.
To all of you who have benefitted from (or hope to someday benefit from) acupuncture and/or massage therapy, this is an opportuntity to alert the HFB of the need to have these services covered thoroughly. (Acupuncture is currently covered, but only in a token manner.) As anyone who has witnessed the effectiveness of these modalities would agree, acupuncture and massage therapy are incredibly useful and cost-effective forms of medicine. If you would like to see these medical arts covered by more insurance companies in the future, please consider attending a hearing and telling your story.
If you can not testify to the HFB in person, you can write them by September 18th at:
